Low-temperature syntheses

Conducting organic reactions at low temperature is often necessary to prevent the formation of byproducts in many processes such as metalations or coupling reactions. Other reactions with metal organic compounds such as Grignard or organolithium reagents require low and constant reaction temperatures to prevent decomposition. In many asymmetric syntheses, low temperatures are crucial in order to obtain a reasonable enantiomeric excess.

Saltigo's plants are equipped with cooling facilities ranging from lab to production scale that enable use to run reactions at temperatures as low as minus 120 °C at any scale.
