Challenging chemistries
When talking about "challenging chemistries," we refer to hazardous properties of reagents, starting materials or intermediates that may be corrosive, explosive, highly flammable or toxic.
Reactions may also bear inherent hazards when they are highly exothermic, thus requiring efficient process control and sufficient cooling capacity. Certainly, our high safety standards apply also in these cases. For example, we have immediate access to state-of-the-art analytical facilities to perform calorimetric studies like DSC and other methods in order to further understand the thermal characteristics of these types of reactions.
