Tokyo - Saltigo GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of German specialty chemicals company LANXESS, will showcase what has made it a leader in custom synthesis at CPhI Japan 2010 from April 21 to 23, 2010. The company will exhibit its vast range of technologies and services that provide support throughout the entire lifecycle of pharmaceuticals, from initial process development and production of investigational new drug (IND) ingredients, right up to large-scale production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates. At this ninth edition in Japan of the CPhI (International Convention on Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Intermediates), Saltigo will be at booth M-17 in East Hall 5 and 6 of Tokyo Big Sight.
The CPhI Japan 2010 international trade fair will feature approximately 450 manufacturers of pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates from around the world. The biggest annual event in Japan´s pharmaceutical industry, CPhI Japan draws high interest and participation from major players, researchers, and other concerned parties in the field. The booth will focus on the services offered by Saltigo´s Redmond, Washington site in the USA, which went into full-scale operation last year. The LANXESS subsidiary is also highlighting the large-scale production of APIs and intermediates at the Leverkusen plant in Germany.
The production site in Redmond has the speed and flexibility critical for the fast track to support of projects in the early clinical trial stages. Services ranging from initial process development and sample synthesis to the production of IND ingredients, are complimented by the ability to provide regulatory registration support for FDA approval. In Japan, Saltigo has built a solid business foundation in markets related to the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemicals industries, particularly in segments supporting the life sciences industry.
